Torque/Force Loaders

The AWS-1000 Series Torque Loaders in conjunction with an AWS transducer system provide all the necessary components to verify the accuracy of all click, dial, and beam type torque wrenches up to 2,000 Lb.ft.

Manual or motorized version ensure a safe and easy way to calibrate large torque wrenches in both the clockwise and counterclockwise directions without introducing variations in the calibration process due to operator intervention.

The AWS-1000, when used in conjunction with the AWS-5000, provides system accuracy of ±0.25% of indicated reading, satisfying metrology lab requirements while its robust housing enables use in the harshest environments. The optional rolling cart (middle-right,) provides a sturdy base as well as secure storage for transducers, adapters, and tools. The cabinet features heavy duty casters, locking wheels and keylock security.

AWS offers a complete line of Intellect Series static torque transducers to cover a range from 0.5 Oz.in. through 2,000 Lb.ft. These torque/force transducers maintain their own calibration data stored in the housing. The range and calibration information is read directly when the transducer is connected to the AWS-5000 system.

The AWS-5000 and transducers can be calibrated by using a calibration kit, including NIST traceable arms, weights, and precision adapters.

Force Testing
By using the optional force measurement attachments, including a variety of cables, quadrants, pins, and adapters, the AWS-1000 series loaders can be quickly configured for cable tensiometer, compression, and load testing. The AWS-5000 provides display and storage of force and torque inputs.

The AWS-1005 (bottom-right,) with a capacity of 5,000 Lb.ft., is capable of rotating 90° for testing torque wrenches in both horizontal and vertical positions.
