and Automatic Cap Closure Test Stands
Our systems ensure that the torque or load values measured are not
influenced by an operator, side load, undue compressive load, or any
other induced error. Such influences are removed by incorporating
a bidirectional variable speed motor, cap and bottle adapters machined
or molded to match the test article, automated axial alignment, accurate
transducers, and minimal bottle deformation.

Verify system accuracy without removing the stand from the production

Cap and Base Fixtures are designed to grip the bottle firmly, while
having no effect on the threads under test. The system, as shown right,
consists of a molded cap fixture that is spring loaded to ensure minimal
end-loading of the cap during removal. The base fixtures (Automatic
fixtures shown), are machined to closely match the profile of the
bottle being tested. The fixtures are removable with a single screw
for fast and
easy change out. Fixtures are available to grip items as small as
a syringe needle, to large gallon (or greater) bottles.

Ideal
for checking the capping
torque on the production line, or the verification of your cap testing
machine. These transducers are custom made to your enclosure size
specification. The bottle is made to match the sample, and a threaded
insert is molded into a production cap. Traceable to NIST, this
is the simplest and most accurate way to dertermining the torque
setting in virtually any capping machine. The torque bottle in equipped
with our Intellect circuitry. This makes it compatible with our
entire range in displays...including our AWS-2500 series testers.
Standard accuracy is 1% of indicated reading. (Bottle here shown
connected to our AWS-4050 torque display)
